What is A.I (artificial intelligence ) and how is it used , benefits ?

AI is a machine's ability to demonstrate human-like skills such as thinking, learning, planning and creativity.

AI enables technological systems to see their place, to deal with what they see, to solve problems and to do something to achieve a certain goal. The computer receives data - which has been processed or collected by its sensors like a camera - processes it and responds. AI systems are able to adjust their behavior to some degree by analyzing the results of previous actions and working independently.

Why is AI important?

Some AI technologies have been around for over 50 years, but advances in computer power, the availability of large amounts of data and new algorithms have led to greater AI success in recent years. Performance intelligence is seen as a key factor in the digital transformation of society and has become a priority for the EU.

Future applications are expected to bring major changes, but AI already exists in our daily lives.

Types of AI

• Software: real assistants, image analysis software, search engines, speech and face recognition programs

• Installed "AI: robots, autonomous vehicles, drones, Internet of Things

AI in everyday life

Below are some AI applications that you may not recognize as having AI capabilities:

Online shopping and advertising
Performance intelligence is widely used to provide personalized recommendations to people, for example in their previous searches and purchases or other online behaviors. AI is very important in business: improving products, planning inventory, equipment etc.
Web search

Search engines learn from the extensive data entry, provided by their users to provide relevant search results.

Digital personal assistants

Cell phones use AI to provide as convenient and personalized services as possible. Practical assistants who answer questions, give recommendations and help organize daily routes have become a whole.

Machine translation

Language translation software, based on written or spoken text, relies on artificial intelligence to provide and improve translation. This also applies to functions such as default subtitles.

Smart homes, cities and infrastructure

Smart thermostats learn from our energy-saving behavior, while smart city developers hope to control traffic to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion.

Although self-driving cars are not yet standardized, cars are already using AI-powered security functions. The EU for example has helped fund VI-DAS, an automatic sensor that detects dangerous and potential risks.

Navigation has the power of AI.

AI systems can help detect and combat cyber attacks and other online threats based on continuous data entry, pattern recognition and retrieval of attacks.

Artificial intelligence against Covid-19

In the case of Covid-19, AI has been used in hot images at airports and elsewhere. Medically it can help to diagnose infection with a computer tomography scan scan. It is also used to provide information on tracking the spread of the disease.

Fighting disinformation

Some AI applications may detect false stories and unauthorized information by digging into social media information, looking for words that are impressive or shocking and identifying which online sources are considered authoritative. Some examples of using artificial intelligence

AI is designed to transform almost every aspect of health and economy. Here are just a few examples:

Researchers are learning how to use AI to analyze large amounts of health data and discover patterns that can lead to new medical discoveries and ways to improve individual diagnosis. For example, researchers have developed an AI emergency response system that promises to detect cardiac arrest during and out of the emergency room. In another example, EU-sponsored KConnect develops multilingual documents and search services that help people find the most relevant medical information available.

I can improve the safety, speed and efficiency of train traffic by reducing tire collisions, increasing speed and allowing independent driving.

AI can help European manufacturers to operate efficiently and restore European factories by using robots to produce, improve marketing methods, or by predicting early maintenance and deterioration of intelligent industries.

ood and farming

AI can be used to create a sustainable EU food system: it can ensure healthy eating by reducing the use of fertilizers, pesticides and irrigation; to help produce and reduce local impact. Robots can remove weeds, reducing the use of herbicides, for example. Many farms across the EU already use AI to monitor the movement, temperature and utilization of their animal feed.

Benefits of A I

Machines have become very smart in the last 50 years. Artificial intelligence (AI), once a strong concept among computer scientists in the 1950s, now has a more active function in our daily lives than some people realize. Powerful AI technology now plays an important role in advertising, finance, data analysis, health care, and much more. AI systems predict what you type in a search engine. They provide personalized ads based on your purchases and browsing history. They recommend new albums and playlists selected for your favorite songs. Advanced AI systems can help even physicians quickly diagnose and treat patients.

New inventions in the AI space have brought benefits to many industries. Procedures work very well, predictions are very accurate, and simple technologies are more widely available than ever before. In the first part of our series of advantages and disadvantages of AI, we will explore a few of the benefits that artificial intelligence systems bring and how they make our lives easier.

1. Adding Success

ne of the great benefits of AI programs is that they enable people to work efficiently. AI can be used to perform small, repetitive tasks quickly, or it can be used to complete larger, more complex tasks. No matter how it is used, AI programs are not bound by human limitations and will never tire out.

And despite what you have seen in the movies, AI is not always good. In fact, it is often used to perform menial, tedious, time-consuming tasks that people would not particularly enjoy. For example, insurance companies use AI to process claims faster and at a higher volume than in person, which frees up time for people to focus on more important issues. Programs can also read and mimic user keys to perform subtle tasks such as data entry. Conversely, when working in conjunction with other technologies, AI can also process large amounts of complex data and provide possible information for efficiency and accuracy.

2. Improved Workflow

While AI is often used to make all tasks automatic, and it has many functional programs to improve the flow of human activity. In-depth learning technologies such as natural language processing (NLP) and automated speech recognition (ASR) have changed the way people work in activities such as education, media and entertainment, and law enforcement. By converting spoken word into text, ASR technology can automatically generate text of any audio and video.

Speech recognition systems like Rev.ai are already surprisingly accurate, and you can expect that to continue as science progresses and the algorithms are constantly being trained. The ASR allows attorneys to receive three-hour deposit documents at the same time. Filmmakers and video producers use automated scripts to manage their media assets and edit their content quickly. Police can quickly find valuable evidence on camera body images due to the automatic recording. These are just a few of the ways in which AI can streamline workflows.

3. Low Levels of Human Mistakes

As we have already mentioned, AI programs should not deal with fatigue. People are tired. The human brain can only focus on one task long before that focus begins to flow. When people get tired, they are more likely to make bad decisions and to be at risk of making mistakes. Repetitive tasks can be very appealing to a person’s mistakes - if the task is repetitive, it is easy for people to lose focus. But AI systems should not be the focus - they are designed for their work. And in those assigned tasks, AI systems eliminate the risk of human error, producing a more accurate outcome.

4. In-depth Data Analysis

Modern businesses swim in data, but do they really benefit from it? Although manual data processing is a time-consuming business, AI systems can process and analyze large amounts of data at incredible speeds. AI systems can quickly find relevant information, identify trends, make decisions, and make recommendations based on your historical data. For example, algorithms can quickly analyze the effectiveness of marketing materials, identify customer preferences, and provide concrete information based on that customer behavior.

5. Informed Decision Making

This in-depth data analysis platform allows business leaders to make better, more informed decisions to benefit their operations. Take division models, for example. These machine learning algorithms attempt to draw conclusions based on training history data. After processing the training data, the model will then categorize, or “label,” the new data.

Businesses develop separation models when analyzing customer exposure, assessing the expected churn rate. These models can create a list of customers at risk of fluctuations, allowing the business to take preventive measures. Distinguishing models also assist advertisers in earning points, assessing customer compatibility with a particular product or service.
